As the first Worldwide Official Mobility Partner of the International Olympic Committee and the International Paralympic Committee, Toyota is committed to mobility as a source of inspiration and as a way to improve the quality of life for all.
With sustainability as one of the key pillars of the delayed Tokyo games, Toyota worked with the organising committees to provide sustainable mobility solutions to help with safer, more efficient mobility, including its intelligent e-Palette autonomous transport system, hydrogen powered vehicles and mobility aids and urban traffic systems. The partnership aims to deliver a mobility legacy in the host cities and countries.
Since the mid-1990s, Toyota has pioneered the development of hydrogen fuel cell and battery technology. It is this renewable power source, free of harmful emissions, that Toyota believes holds the biggest long-term benefits: transport with zero emissions.
