Driver safety is a top priority. Advanced safety technologies are not limited to high-end models, but are made available across the range as part of Toyota Safety Sense and Lexus Safety System.
Both systems include several invaluable safety features as standard, with further additions subject to model and specification.
Standard safety features present in All-New Toyota and Lexus vehicles include a pre-collision system; lane keep assist helping you stay on course; automatic high-beam system to see pedestrians and road signs more clearly at night; road sign assist to help recognise traffic signs; and dynamic radar cruise control.
Toyota and Lexus models benefit from a growing range of connected services – useful features enabled by remote vehicle connectivity and smartphone app that enhances driving convenience and safety.
Current features include Hybrid Coaching & Driving Analytics; Fuel Level; Find My Car; Send to Car (sharing a journey plan prepared with the smartphone app to the vehicle); Warning Lights (highlighting dashboard warnings in the app); Service and Maintenance history; and Service Reminders with Online Service Booking.
The latest Smart Connect package1 adds Remote Climate Control, Remote Door Lock/Unlock, Remote Flash Lights and a simple way to activate connected services using QR code scanning.
New Toyota Smart Connect has an integrated sim card with its own data (free of cost), so the system is always connected.
Cloud-based navigation includes live traffic and road events such as accidents and breakdowns. The system means maps and speed camera alerts are always up to date, supported by a powerful points of interest search facility to locate convenient parking, fuel stations and more.
OTA updates allow the Toyota Smart Connect system to be regularly updated, maintained and enhanced, providing additional features throughout the vehicle’s life. Updates are applied automatically when accepted, similar to a mobile phone.
